Rates
My hourly rate is $140-$180 sliding scale. My appointment minimum is $200. If you are unfamiliar with sliding scale pricing, I have a little section below that explains how it works.
If you are Black and/or Indigenous and aren't able to afford my minimum, I have a discounted minimum and sliding scale ($175 minimum, $90-$120/hr sliding scale). Just put a little note in your booking form if you want to take advantage of this discount.
Most of my tattoos range from 1.5 - 2.5 hours. Pieces larger than 3 inches generally take 2+ hours. The amount of time a tattoo takes depends on the size, placement, and the complexity of design. If you would like a cost or time estimate prior to your appointment I am happy to provide one! You can ask for that in my booking form or through email.
Sliding Scale
Sliding-scale is a system I use so that I am able to keep my practice accessible to those in my community who might not be able to afford my work otherwise. When discerning where on the scale you fall, you might chose to pay on the lower end of the sliding scale if you are Black, Indigenous, and/or a person of color, especially low-income queer and trans BIPOC. You might chose the higher end of the scale if you have generational wealth, a salaried job, or a financial safety net. If you are able to pay on the higher end of the scale, thank you! Your support helps to keep this practice sustainable long-term :-) I will never question or treat you any differently based on the amount you chose to pay.
Deposits
A $100 deposit is required to book your tattoo. This deposit is non-refundable except for in extreme circumstances. Deposits are in place to insure artists are still compensated in some form for their time if a client cancels last minute or doesn’t show up for their appointment.
Rescheduling
If you need to reschedule your appointment, we can transfer your current deposit over to your new appointment with no fee if done with more than 3 days notice.
How to Pay
At the conclusion of your appointment, I will write down the range that you will be able to choose within (my sliding scale x the # of hours tattooing - your deposit). I have a strong preference for cash payment or Zelle. If you pay with card, there will be a 3% transaction fee. Tipping is definitely optional but if you would like to tip, but very much appreciated! (We receive 100% of tips vs. the 70% we get from the general cost of the tattoo). You are also more than welcome to tip in other ways if you would like. Some specific things I enjoy are plants, veggies, food, or treats (dairy & soy free). I know money can be uncomfortable to talk about openly, but please feel comfortable asking any questions that you might have around money things. I am here in this awkwardness together with you! :-) My hope is to make this process as transparent and comfy for you as possible.
